Lysol, Bleach, and Yankee Candle Tarts...oh my!

So, we have company coming from out of state tomorrow afternoon.  Company.  On a Thursday!  Now, I don't know about everybody else, but MY house is NOT one of those spotless houses where you can't tell that people actually live there.  There's no cleaning lady, maidservice, or anything....there's just me!  And there are 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a messy husband.

Now, my kids have toys.  LOTS of toys.  And they.are.everywhere!  I have a friend whose kids were only allowed to play with their toys in.their.rooms!  I have yet to figure out how to accomplish that!  My oldest, Biscuit, just turned 6 last week, and then there's Sausage who just turned 4 yesterday, and of course, Butters who is 9 months...so needless to say there are toys in every room, chair, and every nook and cranny inbetween.  I've pretty much accepted that the toys aren't going anywhere at least for another year or two.  But, they're soooo hard to clean around, under, etc.

We moved to a new house in June and while we've unpacked there still seems to be alot of boxes of "stuff" stuck in various corners of several rooms.  Now that people are coming to visit I find myself FREAKING out and moving all of my random boxes into the only unused room in the house...the baby's room.  Since she still sleeps in our room all of our random junk has been stacked in her room.  But, the good news is that my house is slowly starting to look like other people's houses!  The ones that don't have "a laundry couch" or chair, or corner.  I have gotten the laundry situation under control, at least until bath time tonight.  I have swept, and mopped, and vaccumed and have gone to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and bought new Yankee Candle tarts so my whole house smells like yummy apples.  Tomorrow I will have to strip the kids' beds and wash all of that so that our company will have clean sheets, but the guest bathrooms are scrubbed and I'm seriously considering locking the kids out and making them use the master bathroom until they leave.

Now, almost the entire house is clean....except for the master bedroom and bathroom.  Will I get that far?  THAT is the question!
